TÖRÜ

root essence

To build a future, know what came before you. Your own history and the memory of your people hold both hard-won knowledge and mistakes you need not repeat. Knowing your roots gives you the strength to go further. It also means protecting the land and water on which your future depends.

virtue character

Master yourself. Keep your word when it costs you, judge fairly when anger makes it difficult, and refuse what you know is wrong even when it serves you. Character is the discipline to stand by your principles and the honesty to correct yourself when you fail them.

path direction

Give your life a direction worth the effort. Learn, create and take responsibility for what you can change. Turn knowledge and skill into work that others can build on. The right to lead is earned by shouldering responsibility and proving worthy of the people who trust you.
